Hiring a Freelance Worker

Is your business growing very rapidly? If so, then you probably need to hire some help for your team, whether it is a mystery shopper, website writer, or maybe even a virtual assistant. If your business is growing rapidly, then probably you do not have a team of quality employees yet, and if this is the case, then maybe you might want to consider hiring freelance workers.

In today’s economy and the increase in online competition, you can not afford to be trying to run your business by just yourself. Oh, in my personal life I do not hire my car insurance without having it quoted the price I will be way over any my year. Why do you ask? It just makes sense, why waste my time listening to my sales agent who can not care less about it? Now, if I needed car insurance, I would not be discriminating against my sales agent, I would do it directly with the ABC Company. Now, I do not think I need other people to help me with my car policy, but if I needed something that works extremely well when done right, I know I would need to hire another person, and for this reason, I believe I should hire freelancers until I am able to hire freelancers.

While you may be hurting your company when hiring certain employees, you are actually hurting yourself by not hiring freelancers. If you do not have a team of great quality freelancers on your team, but instead have mediocre ones, then your company is losing money and losing quality employees. When hiring a freelancer, you should put your mind towards hiring highly qualified, well-informed, and accomplished individuals rather than hiring college graduates.

Freelancers typically are less expensive to hire, because they are more experienced as opposed to a new college graduate. As a matter of fact, if you have a quality freelance worker, it would be a small price to pay to hire him. If you hire highly qualified freelancers, as opposed to hiring a beginner, you know that this will make a positive impact on your company, and if you have a big company and you have to hire several people in one month for a simple project, this can become an extremely costly issue to you and your company.

Hiring a freelancer is probably a great way for small companies to save themselves a lot of money, but you must remember freelance workers are skilled professionals. If you have a company that is working extremely well, then you should definitely consider hiring a number of new freelancers, even if you are not currently hiring full-time professionals to do internships, you should still get a feeling of how you are treated by freelance workers.

As a matter of fact, many freelancers or virtual workers out there, I have talked to many of these great professionals willing to work for a little bit more, and per week they will make a full-time salary in their everyday routine of working for your company. Let us say if your company is working on 10 projects and if you are not working inversely with that; stick with freelance workers to afford you the option of hiring the professionals you need.

Keep in mind, if you are a small business owner, then a freelancer doing the same job for $25 to $50 an hour or even $200 to $300 a month, definitely do not let yourself get short-changed by hiring influencers, or anybody who is not mentored properly versus providing the proper resources to an individual who would be professionally passionate and have a clear thought process.

Ultimately, you will only save your company a lot of money in the long run, as a matter of fact in the long run, you may even be spending more money, as a matter of fact, at most you will be spending less money by hiring a freelancer, so it does take careful thought.

For example: if you hire someone who is working 40-50 hours a week, this might end up costing you more money, because you will be having an individual who is not as efficient or professional as you want them to be, or even more expensive if your unemployed professional decided to take days off and take the weeks that they did not finish their contract. In addition, you also have to balance the quality that you are getting end which may cause them to not comprehend your company’s values and philosophy in doing your work.

Time and time again, freelance workers get treated about the same way by employers as well as freelance workers, so make sure you write a contract in your professional relationship for everyone involved. Solid relationships take work on both sides in order for them to grow into a solid mutually beneficial relationship. It is all about the relationship, and make sure all parties in this agreement are open to the benefits that come from the contract.
